Dr. James R. Stegner

James R. Stegner Jr., D.C. is a Board Certified, licensed Chiropractic Physician. He has been helping patients in a variety of clinical backgrounds for over 11 years. As an avid athlete during his youth, he participated in soccer, wrestling, gymnastics and cheerleading. His own battle with injury and dysfunction began his journey in healthcare. A trampoline accident as a high school gymnast caused a herniated disc in his low back. This accident allowed Dr. Stegner the opportunity to understand how a patient wants and needs to be treated. Through his rehabilitation combined with other natural forms of therapy including Myofascial Release (MFR) and Chiropractic Medicine, Dr. Stegner learned how the body can heal itself. Not only has his interest in Chiropractic Medicine and MFR persisted, but he continues to recognize the importance of integrating natural healthcare into mainstream medicine.

From this, he continued on to undergraduate studies receiving his Bachelors in Health Sciences from Bradley University. During his time at Bradley, he was a Division I Varsity Scholarship athlete with the University Cheerleading squad until he became the assistant coach in his final year. He has also been noted for his contributions to Harper College Cheerleading, UCA staff, and several other coaching positions throughout the Midwest. Dedicating himself to cheerleading provided Dr. Stegner with a solid foundation for understanding the value of proper form and technique in order to decrease the potential for injury. His knowledge of altered posture due to pain reinforced his ideas on practicing preventative medicine as a chiropractor.

Dr. Stegner graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). During his internship, Dr. Stegner completed rotations at NUHS Clinic and Salvation Army Clinics. His most recent achievement is receiving his CE Certificate from the Learning Love Institute in Attunement Therapy. Dr. Stegner has specializations/formal training in:
